How to Become CA
Students usually enter into becoming CA after 12th but there are even graduates who opt for it once they complete their graduation. For class 12th appeared students ICAI has Foundation entry route whereas for graduates ICAI has direct entry scheme where they are not required to appear in the Foundation exam for CA which the entry level exam. But if you are a 12th passed or have just appeared in class 12th boards you have to follow the CA Foundation course route. In this, you will be required to register for the CA Foundation exam which is the first level of this course.
There are primarily 3 stages.
- CA Foundation
- CA intermediate
- CA Final
Once you clear the CA Foundation exam with the required pass percentage you can register for the next level which is CA intermediate. Between Ca Foundation and CA intermediate you get a study period of nine months in which you will be required to attend certain training. Once you qualify either one or both the groups of CA Intermediate you can register for the compulsory practical training of three years under a practicing CA. Only after qualifying both the groups of CA intermediate you are eligible to apply for CA Final. And once you qualify both the groups of CA Final you become a member of ICAI i.e., a qualified CA.
